Tried it out today and it seems to work with my Sony Smartwatch 3.    I opened Back Country Navigator on my watch and the displays were blank.  I had to turn on BCN from my phone to get things going.  I was kind of hoping (maybe in the near future?) to be able to turn on tracking from the watch face, but this isn't working yet, as I see.    It significantly impacted the watch battery by using almost 10% of it in a 30minute walk.   The phone battery went down too, because the screen was on on the phone while I was doing this.     This is an excellent start, however.   I'll do some more experimenting in the days ahead.  Thanks for adding this feature!   I've been anticipating this since I stopped using my old Motorola MotoCast "watch".

I got it to last for four hours.

My Note 3, meanwhile used about 30% of its battery, including posting this image at the peak and getting a few emails. The watch screen was on most of the time on BackCountry Navigator, and on occasion back at the clock screen.

Right now, it is best suited for a half day hike.

Further experiments will answer how we can best make it last longer.

    Hello,
I finally jumped on the Wear bandwagon. I love this implementation. One thing is essential however. On the watchface, please add the ability to customize text color (or background). On my sw3, I get white text which is sometimes hard to distinguish from the map (depending on the map overlay I choose).

While we are on the subject of customization,it would be nice to be able to choose which stats the face shows.

Does this work on Samsung Gear S2, i.e. Tizen OS? Thank you!

Are there plans to make this work with Samsung Gear S2 (Tizen)? I saw posts about the Samsung Dev Challenge so I went ahead and bought the watch, but don't see any functionality yet.

    Thank you!

Does this work with the new Android Wear 2.0 watches like the New LG Watch Sport or new Moto 360 2nd Gen?  Samsung Gear S3 would be even better but probably a challenge with Tizen.
